Connect Stripe as your payment gateway

Connect Stripe as your payment gateway so your store can accept payment methods your customers expect and trust. You can do this during onboarding or in Bold Account Center.

Prerequisites​

To connect your Stripe payment gateway, you need the following:

  • Bold Booster installed on your store:
  • Admin access to your Stripe account
  • Knowledge of which payment method(s) you want to use in your store
    • Stripe supports only credit card or debit card payments.
    • To process payments from digital wallets, such as Apple Pay or Google Pay, you'll need to connect another payment gateway.
  • Admin access to your store

Connect Stripe during onboarding​

If you're first setting up Bold Booster, follow these steps to connect Stripe as your payment gateway during onboarding.

Enter your payment gateway information​

  1. In the onboarding modal, under Connect a payment gateway, find Stripe and click Connect.
  2. Follow the prompts to enter the login credentials for your Stripe account.
  3. Click the button to return to your store setup in the onboarding modal.
  4. Check the box for Allow Bold to perform payments and refunds.
  5. Click Save.

Select payment methods​

  1. In the list of payment gateways, next to Stripe, click the ellipsis (...) and click Edit credentials.
  2. If you want to include credit or debit card payment fields processed through Stripe, check the Credit Card box.
  3. Click Save.
  4. Continue the onboarding process for your platform to connect any additional gateways and retrieve your API access token:

Connect Stripe in Bold Account Center​

To connect Stripe as a payment gateway after initial onboarding, follow these steps to add or edit a gateway at any time in Bold Account Center.

Enter your payment gateway information​

  1. In Bold Account Center, under Checkout, click Open.
  2. Click Flows.
  3. Under Connect a payment gateway, find Stripe and click Connect.
  4. Enter your Stripe login information to connect your account.
  5. Click Save.

Select payment methods​

  1. In the list of payment gateways, next to Stripe, click the ellipsis (...) and click Edit credentials.
  2. Select which payment method(s) you want this payment gateway to use.
  3. Click Save.
